Reducing your caloric intake is a key component of weight loss. Calorie counting apps are a great way to keep track of your calories. The app I use was created by MedHelp. Its a cute little calorie tracker. I am able to input my meals, exercise and water intake. The food database consists of food items from the grocery store to popular food chains. This app also has a feature that allows the user to input their current weight, goal weight, activity level and target date. The system then calculates a daily calorie budget. The budget increases when the user loses weight. If the user gains weight or the weight stays the same, the calorie budget decreases. Exercising also increases the calorie budget significantly. I lost 3 pounds within the first week using this app. So far, this is the easiest way for me to keep track of my calories. This app is free and available for iPhone and Android. It can be downloaded here: My Diet Diary.
